We had a gorgeous weekend at Lapwing! The shepherd hut was perfect for a peaceful trip away. The welcome basket was a great touch and I really appreciated the banners that were put up for my partners birthday. We loved the vending machine on the farm and we then used the bbq to cook the delicious food we purchased! Would definitely recommend and we’d love to visit again :)

We had the most amazing stay at Lapwing. Everything was beautiful about it, it was homely and welcoming and felt like ‘ours’ for the weekend. We were lucky enough to have a clear night, seeing the Milky Way from the hot tub was an experience that both of us were amazed by and think will be hard to top! We visited the vending machine and had beautiful local food, the welcome basket for my partners birthday was the cherry on top. We visited for our wedding anniversary, it was stunning! We were welcomed with a gorgeous hamper which made our stay extra special. The cabin was beautiful, very comfortable and had everything we needed, we especially loved the binoculars and star gazing guide. Such a beautiful weekend getaway. We didnt want to leave!! The hut was in such a perfect location, the bed was unbelievably comfortable 😍, the hottub was amazing and Mark and Louise were so helpful. Had a wonderful weekend celebrating our wedding anniversary. The host went to the trouble of putting up an anniversay banner along with a basket of treat- which was a very thoughtful welcome !! Location peaceful with plenty of animals and nature around.Shepherds hut had everything you need. Even better than in the photos.Hot Tub was clean hot and very private..very welcomed after long walks.Weber Bbq great and easy to use ..allowed more time outside.Hosts very friendly and quick to te respond to any questions.Make sure you visit the Farm vending shop - great idea with lots of goodies.Will certainly be returning

Great location, great views, great hosts, great accommodation. Everything was great. The hamper was a lovely touch. Brilliant dark skies for star gazing and some of the most impressive shooting stars I have ever seen. Saw a barn owl in the morning. Would definitely go again.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cabane de berger de Mark. C'était parfait pour se relaxer après nos expéditions dans les Moors, avec un petit jacuzzi à la belle étoile puis dans ce lit si confortable. Nous avons aussi beaucoup apprécié le barbecue. Je recommande !

We’ve just got back from a few days staying in the shepherd’s hut named "Hare".The location is brilliant, so quiet and peaceful. The wildlife is amazing; we saw barn owls, rabbits and even a small mole. We also took a couple of day trips out to Saltburn and Yarn, which we really enjoyed.First impressions when we arrived were fantastic. It was lovely and clean, and so much thought has gone into the layout and facilities. We were also greeted with a lovely surprise hamper and some bunting to celebrate our wedding anniversary, which was a really nice touch, huge thanks to Mark and Louise for that!The farm shop is great as well, really well stocked and reasonably priced. We chose here for our mini honeymoon getaway and wow what an incredible place! We arrived to a gorgeous little surprise (some just married bunting) that just made it feel all the more special. The amenities were great and everything was easy to find. Listening to the cows and sheep sat on the decking was oddly peaceful, and the neighbouring huts are far enough away that it feels like nobody else is there. Stunning venue, amazing hosts! We’d definitely book again!
